Who may be eligible
The Young Professionals Scheme has a short list of core requirements set by the UK Government.
Indian citizen
Open to citizens of India applying through the India route of the scheme.
Aged 18–30
Subject to the scheme rules in force at the time of the ballot.
Qualifying degree
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent at RQF Level 6, 7 or 8, or an accepted overseas equivalent.
Savings of £2,530
Required at the visa stage, along with the required evidence and history.
Dependent children
You’ll need to meet the scheme’s restrictions on bringing dependent children.
First-time route
You must not have previously used the YPS or YMS route. Other UKVI requirements may apply.
A Level 7 qualification isn’t mandatory. The published framework accepts a qualifying degree at Level 6, 7 or 8, or an accepted overseas equivalent.
The ballot and the visa application are two different things
This distinction matters more than anything else on this page — here’s exactly how the money and the process split.
The official YPS ballot
- Run directly by the UK Government — free to enter.
- Selection is random. It is never guaranteed, whoever helps you apply.
- Full supporting evidence is assessed later, at the visa stage — not simply by entering the ballot.
Our £100 assessment
- A consultancy fee for our initial eligibility review — not a government fee.
- Covers your profile check, and clear guidance on your next steps.
- Government visa fees, the IHS and other third-party costs are separate, and paid directly to the relevant authority.
Entering the ballot does not guarantee selection, and paying our fee does not guarantee a visa. We’ll always tell you plainly where you stand.

Frequently asked questions
Is the YPS ballot free?
Yes. The official ballot is free. Our £100 fee covers our initial professional assessment and consultancy support.
Does the £100 fee guarantee selection?
No. Ballot selection is controlled by the UK Government and can never be guaranteed.
Do I need a Level 7 qualification?
No. The scheme’s education requirement is based on a qualifying degree at the required level — Level 6, 7 or 8, or an accepted equivalent, may qualify under current rules.
How much money do I need?
The published financial requirement is £2,530 in savings, with the required evidence and history at the visa stage.
Can I apply now?
The 2026 India YPS ballots have closed. The next ballot is expected in 2027 — we’ll only ever use officially announced dates once published.
Do I need a job offer?
No. YPS is designed to let eligible participants live and work in the UK — a job offer is not the basis for entering the ballot.
Ready to find out if you’re eligible?
Two minutes now could put you in a much stronger position before the 2027 ballot opens.
